Tyler Erb $30,000 Richer After National 100 Triumph at EAMS
Peach State Classic at Senoia Raceway Up Next
ST. MARY.S, Ohio (11/04/24) – Tyler Erb survived an eventful National 100 main event on Sunday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway to claim his 19th win of the season aboard his Bulk Material Lift / Langenfelder Mechanical Contractors No. 1 Best Performance Motorsports / Anthony’s Pizza / First Class Septic / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.
Erb’s $30,000 triumph on Sunday evening matched his richest career payday after claiming a six-figure paycheck in the I-80 Nationals at I-80 Speedway on July 22, 2021.
“To win this race is cool,” Erb said. “We’ve been here for four weeks it feels like now, so it makes it all worth it. I couldn’t be happier for my team, my guys, who buys T-shirts and supports us.”
Erb and Best Performance Motorsports team invaded East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon to compete in the 50th annual National 100.
With 26 XR Super Series entries on the grounds for Saturday’s $15,000-to-win preliminary, Erb backed up a third-place heat finish with a strong seventh-to-second showing in the 50-lap feature. He joined race-winner Ethan Dotson and Jonathan Davenport on the podium.
On Sunday, Tyler repelled a charging Brandon Overton in his heat to secure the eight-lap victory. Locked on the second row for the National 100 finale, Erb joined a handful of competitors who suffered a flat tire, however, the Texas native kept his composure after pitting. Driving from 14th to the front, Tyler snuck underneath Jimmy Owens on lap 73 and paced the remainder of the 100-lapper to claim his 19th win of the season and the $30,000 top prize.
Erb finished 0.644 seconds ahead of Zack Mitchell with Mark Whitener, Jimmy Owens, and Ethan Dotson rounding out the Top-5.
