Drawing 42 XR Super Series entries, Erb outran Spencer Hughes in his heat race to pick up the win. Making a late-race bid to sneak around pacesetter Shane Clanton in the feature, Tyler fell 0.521 seconds short the line to place second. Jimmy Owens, Brandon Sheppard, and Jonathan Davenport completed the Top-5 finishers in the 40-lapper.
The following night, Tyler edged his way into the $40,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Inching forward two spots in the 60-lap affair, Erb crossed the line in 12th.
On Friday, Erb kicked off a doubleheader weekend at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) with the Night Before the Jackson leading up to Saturday’s Jackson 100. With 35 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on the grounds, Tyler used a provisional into the prelim after missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat race.
With persistent rain postponing the 40-lap A-Main to Saturday afternoon, Erb advanced through the field 13 spots to finish 10th.
Later that night, Tyler topped his time trial group before picking up a heat race win. Starting the $20,000-to-win Jackson 100 in second, Erb led laps 26-64 but faded to finish third when the checkered flag flew. He followed Tim McCreadie and Ricky Thornton Jr. to the checkers with Josh Rice and Daulton Wilson rounding out the Top-5.
Tyler is currently sixth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
