1Another race and another podium finish for Tyler Erb. The latest Top-3 finish for the Texas native came on Friday night at Ohio's Moler Raceway Park in his Industrial Resourcing Group No. 1 Best Performance Motorsports/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Thirty-four competitors entered the Championship Bash event, and a heat race win positioned Tyler in the fourth-starting spot for the $5,000-to-win feature. He jumped to the third position as the race went green and despite multiple efforts to advance he would ultimately record a third-place finish in the 50 lapper behind Jason Jameson and Josh Rice.

Saturday night's scheduled Fall 50 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) fell victim to rain.

October 19, 2019 - Tyler Erb Finishes Third in Dirt Track World Championship; Claims LOLMDS RoY Award
1Tyler Erb put a wrap on the 2019 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) over the weekend with a trip to Ohio's Portsmouth Raceway Park for the 39th Annual Dirt Track World Championship.

It proved to be a great weekend for the driver of the Industrial Resourcing Group No. 1 Best Performance Motorsports/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

With 64 competitors entered, Tyler backed up a solid-qualifying effort on Friday evening with a second-place finish in his heat race. Via accumulated points he locked into the ninth-starting spot for Saturday night's $100,000-to-win feature.

In the 100-lap finale, Erb clawed his way to a third-place finish behind Brandon Sheppard and Mike Marlar.

Erb claimed the 2019 Eibach Rookie of the Year by entering the weekend's event and ended the year with six series wins.

"I was a little behind where I wanted to be early in the race, because I started ninth. Those other guys put themselves in a better starting position. I am very happy with the finish tonight and this year. I broke Randall's streak of three wins in a row tonight, but it has been an awesome year for us at Best Performance," Erb said. "To come out of this season with the Rookie-of-the-Year Championship is fantastic, and I can't wait for our team to build on that next year.

"I definitely want to thank Best Performance Motorsports, our sponsors, our fans and family for giving us great support the entire year."

Tyler finished fourth in the final LOLMDS standings, and claimed the Eibach Springs Rookie of the Year title. For full results from the event as well as the final series' standings, please visit www.LucasDirt.com.

October 13, 2019 - Mother Natures Takes Pair of Weekend Events from Best Performance Motorsports
1 Tyler Erb initially set out to embark on a trio of weekend events in his Industrial Resourcing Group No. 1 Best Performance Motorsports/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model. Unfortunately, Mother Nature stole two of the programs.

The three-race weekend opened on Friday evening at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) with a $5,000-to-win, unsanctioned event. Twenty-eight drivers entered the program, and Tyler won his heat race to earn the outside-front-row starting spot for the feature. Unfortunately, rain arrived before the feature could be contested, forcing the balance of the program to be postponed to a future date.

On Saturday night Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competition brought the Best Peformance Motorsports team to Georgia for a $12,000-to-win event at Woodstock's Dixie Speedway. The annual Dixie Shootout proved to not be what Tyler Erb had hoped. Via preliminary action he earned the 20th-starting position for the 50-lap feature. Erb was only able to manage a 17th-place finish in the feature at the 3/8-mile oval.

Sunday night's $10,000-to-win, LOLMDS program at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) fell victim to rain and will not be made up.

Tyler is fifth in the latest LOLMDS standings, and continues to lead the Rookie of the Year battle. For full results from the event as well as the latest series' standings, please visit www.LucasDirt.com.

October 5, 2019 - Best Performance Motorsports Back to the LOLMDS Grind
1 Tyler Erb was back on the road with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) over the weekend with a trip to Ohio and Pennsylvania. Action opened on Friday night as the tour made its debut at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) for a $12,000-to-win event.

Thirty-two drivers entered the program, and Erb raced to a runner-up finish in his heat race to earn the sixth-starting spot for the 50-lap feature. The pilot of the Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 kept his mount inside the Top 10 throughout the finale before finishing in the eighth position.

On Saturday evening the team rolled into the sprawling confines of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pennsylvania) for the annual Pittsburgher 100. With 37 drivers entered, Erb raced into the main event with a B-Main win.

Starting 17th on the feature grid, Erb charged to a sixth-place finish in the $20,000-to-win, 100-lap affair.

"Overall, it was a pretty solid weekend for our team. A pair of Top-10 finishes is something we can continue to build upon," Erb commented. "We were a tick off on the setup in the feature on Friday night. Then, on Saturday night at Pittsburgh, I buried us early in the night, but we were able to rebound for a sixth-place finish. We'll keep grinding away and head to Georgia looking for wins and to climb up the ladder in the points."

Tyler is fourth in the latest LOLMDS standings, and continues to lead the Rookie of the Year battle. For full results from the event as well as the latest series' standings, please visit www.LucasDirt.com.
